SHEPP, FRANCES
RITA, 91, of Orlando, passed away on Saturday,
July 16, 2005
surrounded by her loving family. She was born
in Ottawa, Canada, the daughter of Francis
and Rose Girouard. Her family moved
to Orlando from
Ottawa in 1923. She is survived by
her devoted husband of 68 years,
G. Albert Shepp of Orlando. She and
Albert were high school sweethearts and
were married in St. James Catholic
Church where they have been
devoted
members all their married life.
She is also survived by
her sister, Elma Connolly of
Eustis; sons, Gerry of Winter
Park, Mike of Tampa, Frank of Mount
Dora and daughter, Carol Kalter of
Colchester, Vermont; six
grandchildren; and six
great- grandchildren. She was a
volunteer at St. James School as librarian
for many years and was a founding
volunteer at Mercy Hospital, knitting thousands
of baby booties for newborns and
volunteering more than 19,000
hours of volunteer time. She
was devoted to her husband, assisting
him in his duties with
the Knights of Columbus
throughout Florida. They enjoyed
many wonderful trips to various countries
after Al's retirement and
treasured the time they spent together.
Theirs was a true love story. The
family will receive friends from
6-8PM with a rosary service
at 7:30PM, Tuesday at Carey
Hand Colonial Funeral Home on Curry Ford
Road. The funeral mass will be at 10AM, Wednesday
at St. James Cathedral with
interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial
Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests
donations be made to the charity of your
